BACKPACKING: Adirondack Mountains, High Peaks Wilderness Area, NY
Megan and John are partnering with certified ADK Mountain Guide, Rich Hanlon, to bring you a very unique experience in the High Peaks Wilderness Area of the Adirondack Mountains in New York. We will hike the Majestic Adirondack Great Range which includes 7 Adirondack Mountains named Upper Wolfjaw, Lower Wolfjaw, Armstrong, Gothics, Saddleback, and Basin. We will also include Mt. Marcy, the highest point in New York State. This will be an epic three-night four-day backpacking expedition over challenging terrain with some of the best mountain views in the Eastern United States. While we bask in the glory of the beautiful Adirondack landscape we’ll get to experience the unique wildlife of four stratified habitat zones; temperate, boreal, krummholz, and tundra.

"Gathering the Center" The Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi.
Join us for our first “Center Guild” gathering at KF Farm. This monthly gathering will take place on the first Saturday of each month starting in October of 2025. Each gathering will center on a different theme from the church calendar beginning with the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi. We’ll pray, maybe learn a song or two and share in a potluck meal (so bring something if you can). After the meal we’ll get our hands dirty in the soil of KF farm, helping to build the Wild Indigo Guild greenhouse.

Wild Indigo Guild Volunteering at Eastminster
Each Monday Wild Indigo Guild members come together for a volunteer opportunity at one of our sites. This month we’ll be helping to install the new native garden landscape at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in East Liberty. This is the biggest installation of native plants we’ve done so far and would love your help. Email John if you can come or for more info.

Book Group: The Tears of Things by Richard Rohr
In-person summer book group! Each Monday evening this summer we’ll gather to read and reflect upon Richard Rohr’s new book, The Tears of Things while enjoying a backyard bonfire and snacks. You can find the book online or at your local bookstore. We’ll discuss the implications of one chapter per week from 7pm to 8:30pm. Email wild.indigo.guild@gmail.com for more details. We’ll make a decision about meeting spaces dependent on the participants.

KT Farm Volunteer Day
Come out to Jake and Jo Ann’s family farm to help us increase biodiversity on the edges of the property! We’ll be removing invasive plants and putting native trees and shrubs in their place. Klem Farm and Wild Indigo Guild are planning a long term partnership in ministry and land use. While we help Jake design the farm for greater production, Jake is open space for us to meet and grow more trees for our ministry. Come out to help us get trees in the ground and learn more about the WIG/Klem Farm partnership.

Tree Planting at Westminster Presbyterian Church
Join us in planting native trees around the amazing labyrinth at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greensburg, PA. We’ll gather at 1:30pm. What a great way to celebrate Palm Sunday!
